General and women's surgical patients will enjoy a temporary home which has been given a spruce up after being vacated by inpatient oncology.

Their new location on level 2, A-Block, has 24 beds and is complemented by an additional two beds in the elective post-operative care unit of the department of critical care medicine.

The elective post-operative care unit allows for close monitoring of high acuity patients in the early post-operative stage.

The general and women’s surgical unit was previously located in the former B-Block.
