Hyper/Hypobaric Chamber Arrives - May 2018

The new, state-of-the-art hyper/hypobaric chamber was safely installed in K-Block on Saturday, 5 May 2018.

The chamber will provide capacity for up to 10 patients to be treated simultaneously with hyperbaric oxygen. It has three compartments including a new, private change area and toilet.

The dual-capability chamber will be the first in the southern hemisphere.

A 300 and a 400 tonne mobile crane was used to help manoeuvre the 66 tonne, 14 metre long chamber into the level 3 cavity.

Out of the Ground – Concrete Pours of Lower Levels of K-Block– December 2017

K-Block is growing up out of its foundations with substantial concrete pours for level 2 scheduled before Christmas.

B-Block Demolition Completed – April 2017

B-Block main building, B-Fan and B-Tail have now been demolished to make way for the construction of K-Block. Load out of demolition materials is underway.

Temporary Inpatient Facility – J-Block Completed – January 2017

The 64 pre-fabricated modules were installed and the facility, known as J-Block, was commissioned and received patients in November 2016.
